Shaun, 31 was qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Fitness instruction and worked as a prison officer fitness instructor for 4yrs. In Jan 2009, Shaun made a life changing decision to resign from his position because he wanted a change in his career.
Shaun was referred to TNG in April 2010 on the FND programme. He was short of confidence when he started although within a short space of time and with the support from his adviser (Debbie Slater) his attitude became very positive when he applied for jobs. During the course he attended CV workshops, interview technique and job search sessions as a result his confidence grew which helped to push him in the right direction.
At this stage, a personal job adviser position came up within TNG in Peterborough and Shaun felt encouraged to apply for this position. As it became apparent that Shaun had a keen interest in working with people and he particularly believed this role would help him to relate to customers easily having being in a similar situation himself. A number of applicants applied for the position but Shaun was successful with his application as well as the interview stage. With this breakthrough, Shaun was extremely pleased when he was informed that he was being offered the position as he felt that TNG had made a massive impact in his life in building up his confidence.
Shaun started his new job with TNG in May 2010. He plans to continue working hard with the aim to be the best he can be in his new role by presenting an excellent level of service to others.
"TNG gave me the confidence and drive with great support from staff to help me back into work. I would recommend TNG to anyone"
