Colin, 50, from Stockport, had a background working in the Warehouse industry and had been working as a Warehouse Operative until he was unfortunately made redundant from his job. This had an impact on Colin and he found it difficult to believe in himself and gather the confidence and courage he needed to get out there and find another job; that was, until he joined TNG.

Colin joined TNG on the FND programme on 16th November 2009. He was rather quiet and, as he had no experience using a computer before, found the process rather daunting. With encouragement from staff at TNG, he has gained basic computer skills and has since created a CV which he did not have before. His confidence grew and he enjoyed the FND awareness sessions he attended.

Colin’s positive attitude was rewarded when he was offered a part time job at WH Smiths. He was thrilled to be given the opportunity, working 8 hours a week which will hopefully lead to full time employment within 12 weeks.
