Skills for Life

Written and spoken communication skills, together with basic maths skills, underpin all workplace activity and are essential for an organisation to achieve its goals.

Skills for Life qualifications are designed to help individuals develop the skills they use in everyday life, such as reading, writing or maths.

These qualifications are aimed at adults (16+) who are looking to improve their literacy and numeracy skills and in addition, there is also a Skills for Life qualification in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

Recognising that an individual's basic skills can vary significantly is an important aspect in identifying how you can help the personal development of your staff.

Staff who are encouraged to improve their basic skills are more likely to develop significantly within their role and as a result you will have a more efficient and productive workforce.

We were failing to reach our Customer Satisfaction targets but since embarking on the NVQ Level 2 Customer Service courses through TNG, our target has now soared to 100% Customer Satisfaction for the last 5 months.
