Leading welfare-to-work provider, Avanta, incorporating the two delivery companies TNG and InBiz, has been successful in securing a position on the Employment Related Services Framework in seven regions, the maximum that can be awarded to any one organisation.
Â
Avanta has been selected on the Framework in the following seven regions:
- East of England
- East Midlands
- South East
- North West
- North East
- West Midlands
- Yorkshire and the Humber
This is a great result for Avanta. It clearly positions the organisation as a leading partner to Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and will enable Avanta to bid for multiple Work Programme contracts, the Government’s flagship back-to-work initiative which helps the long-term unemployed, as well as other opportunities that may be put through the Framework at a later stage.
The Work Programme, due to be implemented by the summer of 2011, will transform the welfare to work arena, enabling providers to deliver a single package of personalised support for everyone who finds themselves out of work regardless of the benefit they claim.
Once the Work Programme is implemented it will supersede much of the complicated raft of national programmes currently on offer and will give providers longer to work with individuals and greater freedom to decide the appropriate support for them.
Avanta is now seeking expressions of interest from potential partners for the Work Programme. To find out more about working with Avanta click here
