Avanta is committed to both keeping its partners informed as well as to consulting with them. Our existing subcontractors in FND have been previously briefed about government decisions to replace the programme with the new Work Programme from 2011.

There are many area and issues around this new programme, particularly the funding, which remain unknow and unclear. We have been lobbying and taking part in forums attempting to influence the shape of the programme had hosted a visit by Lord Freud to our Tower Hamlets centre on the 23rd August. What is known is that the application to become a Prime Contractor on the Framework has been issued and due for submission by 27th September.

We believe that Avanta and its partners together can offer real expertise which offers real opportunity to the long unemployed and those on other benefits which aims to reduce welfare dependency and create sustainable futures. We are not complacent about the scale of this task and the focus on outcomes which will be required from ourselves and our partners.

Avanta believes partnership is more than just about services delivery and an exchange of funds, it is about shared values, truly working together over a long period and developing each other’s expertise and capacity for achievement.

Avanta will be bidding as a Prime Contractor in all of the areas where it has current presence; East of England, East Midlands, North West, North East, London and the South East. Additionally we have expressed interest in the West Midlands and Yorkshire and Humberside. We are also seeking to partner as a subcontractor for our highly successful self employment provision.
