Avanta Apprentices

In line with our commitment to supporting the Government’s Backing Young Britain campaign, we have taken on a number of Apprentices in our offices across the country.  We are giving individuals aged 16-18 the opportunity to gain a Business Administration Apprenticeship in an Avanta office, providing all the training and work experience required.

As a result, our teams have some additional help with day to day tasks, and in return a young person has fantastic opportunity to gain some valuable work experience and skills.

Introducing 2010 Avanta Apprentices...

Jake KyprianouJake Kyprianou

Jake had experience in Customer Service and was competent in using IT software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. He joined Avanta as an Apprentice in Tottenham as he was keen to progress his skills further and gain valuable work experience.

Jake said "This has given me a new opportunity to begin developing a career in business and has helped me build my confidence.  I have learnt a lot more about computers and all office equipment.  The support I have received since joining TNG has been invaluable and I am confident that this will develop a great career for me."

Billie SpencerBillie Spencer

Billie had previously worked in Customer Service and Care roles but was keen to embark on a challenge that would provide her with experience that she could use in her future career, so she joined Avanta in Tottenham as an Apprentice.

Billie commented "This has given me the opportunity to gain experience and learn new skills.  I am already starting to understand the importance of administration within the company and I am hoping to improve my skills as an administrator.  This is a great opportunity for someone my age and I look forward to what it will provide me with for the future."

Jayne ConroyJayne Conroy

Having gained a number of GCSE's and worked as a shop assistant in a post office, Jayne wanted to find a role that would offer her career progression. She joined TNG as an Apprentice in the Canterbury office and has already proved she is an asset to the team, having rearranged the internal filing system.

Jayne commented "Whilst working with TNG I have improved my organisational skills, my confidence has grown and I feel that I have settled in with the team. Being an Apprentice has given me greater belief in myself and the belief to succeed"

Perre BramleyPerre Bramley

Perre had completed his GCSE's and worked as a labourer for several private firms over the following years. He joined TNG as an Apprentice in Enfield to learn more about business and administration.

Perre commented "TNG has helped me with my organisation skills from doing general office work to finding out how the company deals with its customers. My next step would be to get more involved with the customers and to learn different areas of TNG".

Rosie KibblesRosie Kibbles

Rosie had experience working as an office junior in a letting agency when she joined TNG in Milton Keynes as an Apprentice. Since she started her Apprenticeship, she has already improved her Excel skills as well as her filing and typing skills.

Rosie commented "TNG has helped me improve some office duties; it has also motivated me to work. My next step is to get my NVQ and do really well in my Apprenticeship. I want to get a job in an office and work my way up to bigger opportunities".
