Amran Iqbal

Amran, who is thirty years old, had been out of work for nearly two years prior to joining TNG Rochdale.  He was keen to obtain literacy and numeracy qualifications at TNG to help improve his job prospects and "improve his chances of being successful".

Amran entered provision for literacy at Entry level 2. However, he has now passed his literacy qualification at Entry level 3 and is currently waiting to sit his Level 1 qualifications in literacy and numeracy. He feels that he has "learned a lot" during his time at TNG.

Amran "hopes to gain employment when he leaves TNG" and feels that his basic skills provision and jobsearch provision which has improved his skills such as writing covering letters has enabled him to apply for jobs with more confidence to work towards gaining employment in retail.
