| TNG celebrate new office in Birkenhead | |
| 20 June 2007 TNG have had a long history in Birkenhead and the new office at Market Wells, Price Street will continue to help tackle unemployment through mentoring, training and employment services andby working with local employers.
The event was attended by Carol Moir, Managing Director of TNG, Dawn Marsh, Director North TNG, local Birkenhead TNG staff, local employers, Job Centre advisors and the Mayor of Birkenhead, Phil Gilchrist.
At the event TNG clients were awarded certificates to recognize their achievement of obtaining qualifications in numeracy and literacy through dedicated learning.
Also Michael Livesley, from New Deal for Musicians, entertained the visitors performing a medley of songs.
Brenda Williams of TNG said, “Our work in Birkenhead has meant that local people have been able to access to the support, advice and training that they need to find local jobs. We work hard to develop the skills that meet the needs of local businesses.
“We have put 130 people into employment in Birkenhead this year, and I feel that we are becoming well-established here. The longer we are here the more businesses we get to know, and that will only help us get more people into work.” | |
